Tire Removal in Utah County, UT

The stack behind the shed, the spare set in the garage rafters, the trailer tires that never got changed. Counted per tire and taken with the load.

  • From $5 per item
  • On or off the rim
  • Goes with any other load

Tires are the thing the curbside bin will never take.

Almost nowhere in a normal disposal route accepts tires. Not the curbside bin, not a regular dumpster, and most transfer stations charge separately for them if they take them at all. So a set of four comes off the car, goes behind the shed, and stays there for a decade collecting standing water.

Scrap Solutions counts tires as a per item category, starting at $5 each, on top of whatever else is going. That means the cheapest way to deal with them is almost always to have them go along with something else, a garage cleanout or a yard clearance, rather than as a standalone trip that would hit the $125 minimum.

Tires on rims are taken as well as loose tires. Say which you have when you call, because a set on rims takes noticeably more room on the trailer than a set off them and it changes how the load is planned.

Tires taken

  • Car and passenger tires, on or off the rim
  • Light truck and SUV tires
  • Trailer and utility trailer tires
  • Lawn tractor and small equipment tires
  • ATV and motorcycle tires
  • Whole stacks that have been sitting in a yard

Worth knowing

  • Large agricultural and heavy equipment tires are a different job and need a call first
  • Tires holding standing water are heavier and messier, so tip them out before pickup if you can

What it costs

Tires start at $5 per item and are counted on top of the load price. A standalone tire only trip still falls under the $125 minimum, so it is almost always cheaper to send them with a garage or yard job.

Why this job goes to Scrap Solutions

Clear the stack behind the shed.

Cheapest with something else

Per item pricing on top of a load you were already having done beats a standalone trip every time.

On the rim is fine

Rims are steel and go to Western Metals or MCR. Just say how many are on rims when you call.

Shops and fleets

A repair shop or a fleet yard with a recurring stack can set up regular collection and be invoiced rather than paying each time.

Questions

Tire Removal FAQ

How much does it cost to get rid of tires?

Tires start at $5 per item, counted on top of the rest of the load. A trip for tires alone still meets the $125 minimum charge, which is why it is worth sending them with another job.

Do you take tires still on the rims?

Yes. The rims are steel and go to a metal recycler. Mention how many are on rims when you call because they take more space on the trailer.

Can a repair shop set up regular tire pickup?

Yes. Recurring commercial collection can be scheduled and invoiced. Call and describe your volume and Tyler will price it as a standing arrangement.

What about tractor or heavy equipment tires?

Call first. Those are much larger and heavier than a passenger tire and they are quoted separately rather than at the standard per item rate.
