Full Home Cleanout in Utah County, UT

Every room emptied and the house handed back broom clean. For a sale, a move, a downsize or a family sorting out a house that is not theirs to sort.

  • Whole house, one crew
  • Full loads from $650
  • Donation and recycling included

Somebody has to make four hundred decisions. It does not have to be you.

A whole house cleanout is not a bigger version of a garage cleanout. It is a different job, because most of the time nobody has been through the contents yet and the person calling is dealing with something else at the same time. A sale with a closing date. A parent moving into care. A move out of state on a schedule somebody else set.

The way this works is simple. You walk the house once and mark what stays. Anything you want kept, sold or passed on to family goes in one room or gets tagged. Everything else is Tyler's problem from that point.

What leaves is sorted rather than tipped. Usable furniture, clothing and household goods go to Deseret Industries, Tabitha's Way or the ReStore in Orem. Metal goes to Western Metals or MCR. Electronics go to a recycling partner in Arizona. Only what genuinely has no other route is disposed of.

Multiple loads are normal on a house. That is priced up front on the walkthrough, not discovered halfway through the second day.

A full cleanout covers

  • Every room, including closets, under beds and the top of the wardrobes
  • Kitchen contents, small appliances and pantry
  • Garage, shed and side yard
  • Basement and cold storage
  • Attic space where it is safely accessible
  • Appliances, furniture, electronics and scrap metal throughout
  • Yard waste and outdoor items left behind

Not part of a cleanout

  • Chemicals as a load, and biohazardous waste of any kind
  • Anything needing licensed abatement, such as asbestos or lead paint removal
  • Deep cleaning and carpet cleaning. The house comes back empty and swept, not professionally cleaned

What it costs

Whole houses are quoted on a walkthrough because volume varies enormously. A full load starts at $650 and most houses are more than one load. You get the total before the first day starts.

Why this job goes to Scrap Solutions

Hand over the whole house.

One walkthrough, one number

Tyler walks the house, counts the loads and gives you the total. Multiple loads are expected on a house and are priced in from the start.

Keep piles are protected

Whatever you are keeping is separated and confirmed before anything is carried out. Nothing on a cleanout is a guess.

Family, agents and executors

Plenty of these calls come from someone handling a house on behalf of a parent or an estate, often from out of state. Photos and phone updates are normal.

Questions

Full Home Cleanout FAQ

How long does a whole house take?

Most take one to three days depending on size and how full it is. You get the estimate at the walkthrough along with the price.

Can you work with a closing date?

Yes, and that is usually the constraint. Tell Tyler the date when you call and the job gets scheduled backwards from it rather than into it.

What if we find something valuable?

It gets set aside and you get a call. Nothing that looks like it matters goes on the trailer without being shown to you first.

Do we have to be there?

For the walkthrough it helps a lot, because that is where you say what stays. After that, plenty of cleanouts run with the owner out of state and updates by phone.
