FAQ
Junk removal questions, answered straight.
Pricing, coverage, what is and is not taken, and how scheduling actually works.
How much does junk removal cost?
The minimum charge is $125, which covers a single item or a small pickup. Half a trailer starts at $350 and a full load starts at $650. Tires, chemicals as a single leftover container, and paint cans are counted separately, starting at $5 each. Pricing is by volume, not by the hour, and you get the number before anything is booked. See the pricing page for the full breakdown.
What license and insurance do you have?
Scrap Solutions LLC is a Utah limited liability company, state registration number 14513594-0160, and holds a business license. Vehicles and trailers are insured through UCCU for liability to property, and every job runs under a signed customer work agreement. Scrap Solutions does not carry a general liability insurance policy, and does not claim to. If damage occurs, Tyler covers it personally under the terms of that agreement.
What areas do you serve?
Every week, in American Fork, Cedar Hills, Alpine, Pleasant Grove, Lindon, Orem, Vineyard, Provo, Springville, Mapleton and Spanish Fork. Tyler will also travel for the right job in the rest of Utah County and in Draper. See the service areas page for details on each city.
What do you not take?
Chemicals as a load and biohazardous waste of any kind are never taken, and anything requiring a licensed abatement contractor, such as asbestos, is outside what Scrap Solutions does. A single leftover container of a chemical, such as old paint thinner, or a can of paint, is taken and priced per item starting at $5, which is a different thing from hauling a load of them. Say what you have when you call and you will get a straight answer about what is in and what is out.
How fast can you come?
Same day or next day in most of the weekly service area, Monday through Saturday, 6 AM to 9 PM. Larger jobs, like a whole home cleanout, take a bigger block of time and are worth booking a day or two ahead.
Is the quote actually free?
Yes. Quotes are free, and there is no charge for a job you decide not to book. Most jobs can be priced from a description or a photo without a site visit.
What happens to the stuff you take?
Usable items are donated to Deseret Industries and Tabitha's Way, or the ReStore in Orem. Scrap metal goes to Western Metals or MCR. Electronics go to a recycling partner based in Arizona. Only what genuinely has no other route is disposed of.
Do you offer financing?
Not yet. Financing is in progress but not currently available, so it is not offered on any job today.
Do I need to be home for the pickup?
Not always. If the items are outside, in an unlocked garage, or behind a gate code, and the price has already been confirmed, plenty of jobs are done with a photo, a text, and access details. If anything about the scope is unclear, Tyler would rather you were there than guess.
Do you work with property managers and businesses?
Yes. Property managers and businesses are two of Tyler's core client types, alongside homeowners. Commercial and property management jobs can be invoiced rather than paid on the day, and turnovers can be scheduled around a handover date. See commercial cleanouts and property management cleanouts.
Can I read reviews from past customers?
Not yet. Scrap Solutions does not publish reviews or testimonials on this site because none exist yet in a form that can be verified and attributed honestly. When real, attributable feedback exists, it will be added here rather than invented in the meantime.
How do I request a quote?
Call or text 801-375-7303, email tylerbulloch@scrapsolutionsutah.com, or use the quote form on this page, the contact page, or any service page. All of them go straight to Tyler.
Still have a question, or ready for a quote?
Send the details and Tyler will answer both at once.
Got it.
