Houses that never got cleared
A home lived in by one family since the seventies produces a real whole house cleanout, usually more than one load, quoted on a walkthrough.
Junk Removal · Utah County
Orem calls itself Family City USA, and the housing stock reflects exactly that. A lot of it went up in the sixties and seventies for families who then stayed, and the cleanouts here are what forty years in one house leaves behind.
The blocks between State Street and Geneva Road, and the older streets running off Center Street, are full of ramblers and split entries built to be lived in rather than flipped. Original garages, unfinished basements, cold storage rooms with shelving still full. When one of those houses changes hands, the cleanout is the first job on the list and it is rarely small.
Around Utah Valley University there is a second Orem entirely. Basement apartments, converted garages and small multi unit buildings that turn over on a student calendar. Those are turnover clearances rather than family cleanouts, and they run on the same tight handover dates as Provo does.
Orem also carries a lot of retail along State Street and around University Place, which means fixture removals, back room clearances and office refreshes are regular commercial work here rather than an occasional job.
Because Orem sits directly next to Pleasant Grove, where Tyler is based, it is one of the easiest cities on the list to get to at short notice. Same day pickups here are genuinely same day.
Worth knowing
A home lived in by one family since the seventies produces a real whole house cleanout, usually more than one load, quoted on a walkthrough.
Basement apartments and converted units around UVU turn over on a student calendar. Turnover clearances can run on a code with nobody on site.
Tyler is based in Pleasant Grove, so Orem is a short run. Same day pickups are realistic here rather than aspirational.
Questions
Usually same day. Tyler is based in Pleasant Grove, so Orem is one of the shortest runs on the map and there is no travel charge for it.
Yes. Give the handover date up front and it gets scheduled backwards from that. Units are quoted individually and can be invoiced rather than paid on the day.
Yes, including the shelving and food storage that has aged out. It is one of the most common things found in an Orem basement and it is priced with the rest of the load.
Tell Tyler what needs to go. Most Orem jobs get a same day or next day slot.
