This site is built to target WCAG 2.2 level AA. Here is what that means in practice, what we know is not perfect yet, and how to reach us if something does not work.
What is built in
- Semantic HTML landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) and a single, real
<h1>on every page. - A skip-to-content link at the top of every page for keyboard and screen reader users.
- Visible focus outlines on every link, button, and form field. Nothing removes the focus ring.
- A label on every form field, including the quote request form, and error messages that are announced rather than shown by color alone.
- Text sized and spaced to remain readable at 200% browser zoom, and color combinations chosen to meet AA contrast.
- Full keyboard operability, including the mobile navigation menu, which traps focus correctly while open and returns it to the menu button on close.
- Animations and transitions are minimal, and this site respects your operating system's reduced motion setting.
- Photo placeholders are marked with visible, descriptive text rather than a blank or broken image, since no real job photographs are published on this site yet.
Known limitations
This site has not yet had a full manual screen reader and keyboard audit performed by a third party. If you encounter a barrier using a screen reader, voice control, keyboard only navigation, or browser zoom, please tell us. We would rather hear about it and fix it than assume it is not happening.
